Privacy policy 
Thank you for using Wangu! Our mission is to make e-commerce more accessible to the people on our continent. To do that, we ask you to create an account with us and upload your content on the platform. We wrote this policy to help you understand what information we collect, how we use it and what choices you have about it. 

1. DEFINITIONS
For the purpose of this policy document, the following words and phrases shall have the meaning assigned herein:
“You” means the person who subscribes to, or uses our Wangu and includes any person who accesses any of the services you have subscribed to "We” or “Us” or “Our/s” means Steady State Solutions and all its subsidiaries and affiliates.“Data Protection Laws” shall mean any applicable law relating to the processing, privacy and use of Personal Data, as applicable for the provision of the Services, including the General Data Protection Regulations and/or any corresponding or equivalent national laws or regulations; and any laws which implement any such laws; and any laws that replace, extend, re-enact, consolidate or amend any of the foregoing; all guidance, guidelines, codes of practice and codes of conduct issued by any relevant regulator, authority or body responsible for administering Data Protection Laws(in each case and whether or not legally binding).

   2.   SCOPE 
This policy applies to the Wangu platform and services. The policy does not apply to third-party applications, websites, products, services or platforms that may be accessed through links that we may provide to you via the Wangu platform. These sites are owned and operated independently from us, and they have their own separate privacy and data collection practices. Any Personal Data that you provide to these parties will be governed by the third-party’s own privacy policy. We cannot accept liability for the actions or policies of these independent sites, parties, and we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these parties.

3.    THE  DATA WE COLLECT
Generally, when you make use of the Wangu platform, you may provide us with the following personal information:
The mobile number used by the user(buyer or seller) to register  on the WhatsApp Messenger App
The User’s  Whatsapp Messenger App profile
The location from which the seller(as a user of the service) operates from Your communications with us: If you contact us for customer support or otherwise communicate with us, we collect the content of these communications.

4.    WE COLLECT INFO IN DIFFERENT WAYS:
When you give it to us or give us permission to obtain it. When you use Wangu, you voluntarily share certain information;
Account Information: from your initial interaction with Wangu (i.e. from the moment a user sends a message to the mobile number configured for Wangu on WhatsApp Messenger)  we collect the following types of data; the user mobile number and the user WhatsApp Messenger profile. We collect this data through our use of WhatsApp API as part of our platform’s architecture. 
Content: We collect information when the user uploads photos or other content, or when you send messages and interact with other users.
Third party information:We may obtain certain information about you from publicly or commercially available sources and from third parties who perform services for us. 
Other information we collect automatically; We also obtain  every single message exchanged on the platform by the user (buyer/seller).

5.    HOW WE USE THE INFO WE COLLECT 
We are committed to providing a seamless service at an affordable cost to all our users. To do that, we use your information in various ways including to:
- Provide, operate and maintain our services;
- Improve, personalize and expand our services;
- Develop new products, services, features and functionality;
- Analyzing our Services and customer including, conducting market research, aggregating and anonymizing data, performing data analytics;
- Communicating with you for customer service, to provide you with updates and other information relating to our Services, and for marketing and promotional  purposes.
- Comply with and enforce applicable legal requirements 

6.  HOW AND WHEN WE SHARE INFO 
Any user of Wangu can view the content uploaded by  other users such as images, prices and product descriptions.  
We also share the categories of information described above:
- With vendors that we employ  to process information on our behalf based on our instructions and for the purposes described in this privacy policy.
- With law enforcement agencies, government agencies, researchers or other parties in compliance with laws, rules or regulations. For example, we may get requests for account information from law enforcement authorities such as the police or courts. We only disclose information in response to such requests if we believe that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety, rights or property of the public, any person or Wangu; or to detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
We may also share information if we believe it is necessary to prevent imminent and serious bodily harm to a person in emergency situations. We may share your publicly accessible information with independent researchers who meet certain criteria, to combat societal harms. With our corporate family of companies, including wholly owned subsidiaries and affiliates. If we were to engage in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, reorganization or similar transaction or proceeding that involves the transfer of the information described in this Privacy Policy, we would share your information with a party involved in such a process (for example, a Potential Purchaser).

7. YOUR RIGHTS & CHOICES 
Subject to legal and contractual exceptions, you have the rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data. We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all your data protection rights.
Every user is entitled to the following:
1. Access: You can request access to the information that we collect and hold about you in a portable format. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
2. Correction/Rectification: You can correct your information by updating the information in your user profile
3. Deletion/erasure: You can have your information deleted under certain conditions. The right to restrict processing: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
If you make a request, we have three months to respond to you. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us on the email listed below.

8. TRANSFERRING YOUR INFORMATION & DATA STORAGE 
Wangu is a worldwide service. By using our services, you authorize us to transfer and store your information outside your home country, including in Belgium, for the purposes described in this policy. The privacy protections and the rights of authorities to access your personal information in such countries may not be equivalent to those of your home country.
How long we store your information:We only keep your information for as long as we need it to provide Wangu services to you and fulfil the purposes described in this policy. When we no longer need to use your information and there is no need for us to keep it to comply with our legal or regulatory obligations, we will either remove it from our systems or personalise it so that we cannot use it to identify you.

9. OUR POLICY ON CHILDREN’S INFO    
Children under 13 are not allowed to use Wangu. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity. Steady State solutions does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best to promptly remove such information from our records. 

10. UPDATES
We may change this policy from time to time, and if we do, we will post any changes on this page. If you continue to use Wangu after those changes are in effect, the new Policy shall apply to you. If the changes are significant, we may provide a more prominent notice, such as by sending you a message on your mobile number/ every time you interact with Wangu.
